Description: The University seeks a program manager to work with the Planetary Solutions Project Director to support development of major initiatives and partnerships, facilitate collaboration by managing requests for proposals and events, and raise awareness both inside and outside the university about cutting-edge and impact-driven work on planetary themes. The program manager will also administer the Yale Carbon Charge, the university’s internal carbon pricing system.

The program manager will report to the Planetary Solutions Project Director in Yale’s Provost’s Office.

The main responsibilities are expected to be: Organizing planning meetings for major new environmental initiatives, as well as large and small on-campus events to explore and develop potential collaboration on themes from the Planetary Solutions Project framework, such as alternative energy, biodiversity, climate change mitigation and adaptation, human health, and environmental justice. Leading development of Planetary Solutions Project newsletter and new website content/design, and managing occasional communications strategy development initiatives. Support internal requests for proposals for Planetary Solutions Project seed grants. Supporting Planetary Solutions Project program council initiatives. Supporting development of proposals for donor gifts. Managing Yale Carbon Charge energy reports, financial transactions, and participation by Yale planning units.
