Job Title: Technician: Sustainable Laboratories

Duration: full time (35 hours per week) and is fixed term until 31 July 2021
Pay/Volunteer: Technical & Specialist Grade, level 6, £29,176 - £32,817 per annum

**Description:**The purpose of this project is to improve the sustainability and efficiency of laboratories across the UofG starting with the those in the College of Science and Engineering. This project will provide an opportunity for a laboratory technician to train in the tools and skills to improve the sustainability and efficiency of laboratories through the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF). Given the environmental impacts of laboratory operation, this position would support the University’s goal of reaching net zero for carbon emissions by 2030. The technician would work alongside staff from both Estates and the Centre for Sustainable Solutions, driving the improvement of laboratory sustainability.
