Description: On the 17th to March we will have our final talk of this 2025/2026 ISTA Sustainability Seminar Series, featuring Philippe Drobinski from Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
His research focuses on regional climate variability and long-term trends in the Euro-Mediterranean region, with particular emphasis on the implications for water and energy resources. He has coordinated numerous national and international research programs, including the HyMeX, an international initiative dedicated to understanding the Mediterranean water cycle.
Professor Drobinski is Director of the Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique at Institut Pierre-Simon Laplace, Research Director at French National Centre for Scientific Research, and Professor at École Polytechnique. Since 2019, he has also served as the founding director of Energy4Climate, which addresses the systemic challenges of the global energy transition.
