Climate & Health Fellowship

Organization: Harvard School of Public Health
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Duration: * Full-time, 12-month appointment with a strong possibility for renewal

Deadline: Friday, April 3, 5:00 p.m. ET
Description: The Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment (C-CHANGE), Harvard Chan School of Public Health is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance research on immediate and sustained public health benefits of climate change mitigation and adaptation activities. The Fellow will contribute to case studies, economic evaluation and modeling efforts of specific climate actions — for example, the removal of a combustion pollution source or implementation of a specific adaptation — and the impact on community health outcomes.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will:

  • Assess the health and economic impacts of past climate mitigation and adaptation measures across various scales and geographies (city, regional, U.S. and international).
  • Work directly with faculty across the C-CHANGE program on evaluation of interventions that have resulted from ongoing research efforts;
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to estimate the projected health and economic benefits of future climate mitigation and adaptation strategies.
