Description: he Biorenewables Development Centre (BDC), part of the University of York, wishes to immediately recruit an Analytical Technician to the Process Development Unit (PDU) to support delivery of the ERDF-funded Bioeconomy Growth Programme and other applied research projects.

The centre is an open access business-facing R&D scale-up facility. It works closely with the University of York and other academic research groups across the globe, as well as engaging with a wide range of commercial organisations.

Role

To provide analytical and technical support to applied projects within the bioeconomy. You will work with other technical and non-technical BDC staff to ensure the smooth running of the analytical and technical facilities.

Ideally, you will be a dynamic character who is self-motivated and organised, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn about new techniques and research methods.

As well as contributing to a series of industry-facing biorenewables-based projects providing technical input into projects based upon the valorisation of plant, microbial and bio-based materials.
