Description: Evi Samoli is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece. She graduated from the School of Mathematics, NKUA and obtained an MSc in Social Statistics at the University of Southampton, UK. She received her doctoral degree from the Medical School, NKUA in 2005. Her research interests focus on environmental epidemiology, especially the health effects of air pollution and climate change, and the development and application of statistical methods in related research. She has organized and participated in several statistical workshops, Greek and international conferences and has been as an investigator in various funded research programs. She has been a Reviewer and expert consultant for U.S. HEI and WHO, while currently she is a member of the US HEI Research committee and co-chair of the 34th Annual conference of the International society of Environmental Epidemiology.
