Description: This is a two part webinar with a focus on the DOZN™ tool, and the use of more sustainable solvents.
The DOZN™ tool is a quantitative, industry-first tool that uses the 12 principles of green chemistry for comparing the relative greenness of similar chemicals, synthetic routes, and chemical processes.
We distill these 12 Principles of Green Chemistry into three major categories: improving resource use, more efficient use of energy, and minimizing human and environmental hazards. Through DOZN™ 2.0, scientists now have access to calculate the green scores of their own processes and products. This free, web-based tool provides users with even more data so that they are properly equipped to increase their sustainability.
The future of solvents needs to be safe, environmentally conscious, and preserve natural resources. It must also meet the standards and reliance required for high-quality chemical research and production. In this portion of the webinar we will discuss different types of greener alternatives and highlight recent application work for our Cyrene™/GVL and Cyrene™/DMI solvent blends.
