**Description:** [The Department of Chemistry](https://www.york.ac.uk/chemistry/) seeks applications for a Director of the [Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence](https://www.york.ac.uk/chemistry/research/green/) (GCCE) and Professor in Sustainable Chemistry from outstanding individuals with demonstrated research excellence in green or sustainable chemistry. The GCCE has strengths in: biobased materials and renewable resources; sustainable solvents; carbon dioxide utilisation; clean synthesis and platform molecules; and microwave processing.
