Basics

  • Minimize the number of trips/cars needed by coordinating fieldwork activities

  • Use electronic data collection

  • Use reusable cutlery, glassware, plates, and cookware for food preparation when in the field.

  • Use reusable field equipment (e.g. batteries, flagging materials, collection containers)

  • Ensure recovery of all items, including waste, that we bring into the field
    ** Have a protocol or system - Checklist of items
    ** Don’t forget your personal items as well as field work items

  • Sort and recyclable waste when returning from the field
